Zinc Oxide Applications

Zinc Oxide plays an important role in a wide range of applications. In 2004, world usage of zinc oxide was estimated at over 1.000.000 tonnes, while European consumption was about 300.000 tonnes (see graph below). Zinc oxide plays an important role in a very wide range of applications varying from tyres to ceramics, from pharmaceuticals to agriculture, and from paints to chemicals.
