Fine zinc powder production facility of Umicore Malaysia Sdn Bhd is located at Pasir Gudang on the southern tip of Malaysia, 30 km north of Singapore, near the important port facilities of Johor Bahru.
The plant was commissioned in 1994. It processes secondary zinc utilizing Larvik distillation technology to produce fine zinc powder primarily for anti-corrosion paint markets in Asia and the Middle East.
Annual capacity of the plant is 11.000 tonnes.
