Integrated Product Data Service (IPDS) 

Faced with the amount of information to manage for the large number of products, applications, different languages and different regulatory systems in the countries of destination, Umicore has launched a major effort to ensure legislative compliance in hazard communication. An Integrated Product (regulatory) Data Service (IPDS) was installed that will provide Safety Data Sheets and Labels in the language of the customer and in compliance with the legislation of his country or region. The system is in operation since end of 2003 and contains now about all commercial products of Umicore. The next step of the project is to guarantee the distribution of the MSDS to the customer in such way that the regulatory requirements are met.

MSDSs will be sent automatically when shipments are organised if no MSDS was sent before. When updates are created, the new version will be distributed automatically to all customers having received the product in the last 12 months.

For this purpose, we need from each customer a dedicated address, most preferably e-mail address, to which the MSDS should be sent. Please send us your dedicated contact point for this item as soon as possible.
